A modular studio in Kawasaki.
Made in Japan. Independent. Honest.
Original games and stories, tools we build and use ourselves, a shop that ships from Japan, and 360° capture. All built on the same philosophy: if you want something done right, do it yourself.
Why Modular Reality exists
It started with a very specific image: holographic monster duels, like in anime. I saw it a thousand times on screen and it never arrived through the companies that should have built it. So I decided to be the one who does.
That goal now has a name: Duality — Beyond the Shadow, an original saga — AR card game, anime and manga — currently in development. But it's too big to start from scratch, so I began with smaller things — software, a shop, 360° capture — while learning to operate, fail in a controlled way, and understand where the real limits are.
There's also a parallel challenge: improving what already exists in the market. Not because I think I'll pull it off immediately. But because I want to at least have the argument — understand why something is a rip-off or why it isn't. That only comes from doing it.
The name
Reality — XR technologies are our tool: Augmented, Virtual, Mixed Reality. The infrastructure that makes holographic duels possible. That's why we research seriously, not as portfolio decoration.
Modular — the philosophy behind how we build: everything we make is a module that works on its own but connects to the rest without breaking. If a module breaks or doesn't suit you, you unplug it. The factory keeps running.
How we work
Technical sovereignty — and what that means
I operate with my own infrastructure or from providers I control. That gives me freedom to make decisions without depending on platforms that change the rules overnight. Within the applicable legal and bureaucratic margins — no magic here — but with as much autonomy as possible.
I use automation and artificial intelligence as work tools. They're not a replacement: they're what allows me to reach further as a single person. What comes in, I read. Important decisions, I make. AI handles volume; the judgment is mine.
I want to give personal attention. I don't know how long I can maintain that if this scales. What I can promise is that I won't disappear behind a form.
The Modular Network
A network, not a franchise. Partners, not soldiers. And it's just getting started.
The Modular Network aims to connect verified local businesses — hair salons, physiotherapy, workshops, shops, and whatever comes next — around a shared wallet: modular credits. The wallet already works; the first partners are being evaluated. The idea: you get a haircut at a partner salon, earn credits, and spend them anywhere in the network.
How do we verify a partner?
Before sealing someone as "verified", I personally try the service. I go, I test it, I evaluate. If there's a real product and honest service, they're in. If not, they're not. That "verified" seal is worth something precisely because it costs something to give — it can't be bought with money.
